Sad but so true
But, it does not have to be...
First of all, Americans could reduce consumption of gasoline by carpooling, or running all their errands on 1 or 2 days, reducing speed on highway, or taking public transportation when and where possible.
Americans could reduce their consumption of food and where possible grow their own fruits and veges.
Americans could resist marketing and advertising ads that suggest we should buy this or that.
Americans could vote elected officials out of office.
Americans should petition the ACLU to lobby on behalf of Americans for a 30 hour work week thereby reducing energy consumption and putting more people to work.
Americans should stop buying foreign made cars and start buying only American cars; in fact, Americans should collectively work towards inporting less and exporting more.
Americans should petition the Congress to raise import tarrifs.
Americans should make their sons and daughter learn Math, Science, and Technology in high schools so that they will be armed with knowledge for jobs.
Americans should put their monies in credit unions and not banks which would bring the banking industry tumbling down for lack of resources.
Americans should collectively organize a militia that prevents drugs from being brought over the boarder from Mexico by Americans.
Americans should punish the workers who worked on the oil rigs that caused oil spills because they were either hung over or high on drugs.
Americans should punish the electricians, plumbers, and carpenters that were responsible for building sub standard homes, especially in the South.
Americans should punish all employees who steal from their employer cause prices to increase to cover theft expenses.
Americans should punish all the students who cheat on their SAT tests to get into College.
Americans should put all racist parents in jail...
Yes Terry all of this is sad but true. But, this is America
