A symptom is only a sign that there is something wrong. Taking aspirin for a chest pain; ignoring a lump in one’s breast; not seeing a doctor when you can’t stop coughing for days on end.
Masking symptoms is a bad idea. It’s just as bad as ignoring them. And according to American Progress the fact that can’t be ignored in this country, US of A, is that class mobility has stagnated.
The wealthy have succeeded so far in stockpiling billions of dollars while raping the rest of America. How long can this go on? Well you can bet that when the blowup arrives, the rich will lose, having had all their monies taken away from them in a violent revolution or the rich will impose a police state. But how long will that last?
In a Police State the rich will still be OK. That is until the day arrives where the people holding the guns, protecting them, ask themselves, “why the hell are we working for these guys” and take over all their loot for themselves.
Either way the rich lose. And they should. They have starved the middle class from merit achievement and a fair and equitable pay scale with benefits forcing Capitalism to dissolve into communism. Or any "ism" you prefer.
Now you might think this is impossible. But look at who is the richest man in Europe. One guess: he’s the man who owns all the guns. His last name is Putin.

I don't think the issue here is about the rich getting richer. This is a fact of life which has gone on and will continue through the life time of mankind. The issue here comes down to the unfair tactics used by wealthy. The greatest issue of our immediate life time is how the banks took us all for a ride and came close to destroying the economy of this country. ALL of us are suffering as a result of the greed of the few who have all the cash.
