Hate radio host, Rush Limbaugh, stepped out of the bounds of decency when he slandered a young Georgetown University Law Student for testifying on women’s health issues on Capitol Hill last week. He called her a “prostitute” and “a slut” and insulted her family. He followed up the next day by saying, “"So, Miss Fluke, and the rest of you Feminazis, here’s the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch," Limbaugh said. Rush, who didn’t even read the woman’s testimony, claimed she was testifying on her own behalf which was not true, said she wanted to have sex often and the health insurance company should pay for her contraceptives. Rush believes that each time a woman has sex she has to take a pill. Prescription birth control is a device that woman take daily and can have as much sex as they want. Rush doesn’t understand that and was called out on it by Rachel Maddow on her Friday night show. Birth control pills have typically helped women for other health issues, including Migraine headaches, that have nothing to do with having sex. But I have to disagree with Maddow for this reason: How can a person like Rush marry four women in 30 years and never have a child? Seems like his birth control is the most effective out there unless of course he’s a closet gay and pays women to front him as his wife. There was a time when Rush went off with his Fox News buddies to the Dominican Republic for a “stag party” where rumors of Rush chasing little boys around the village came to light. He was nailed at the airport for bringing in 29 100MG of Viagra issued in someone else’s name. Later, pervert Rush was charged with drug abuse using oxycotin and buying it from a dealer. He got off on probation when most people would be serving 15 years in jail. It’s not hard to accept if Rush is gay that this cultural war against women is coming from his own perverted mind. He hates women and it’s appalling with such a high percentage of women voters, at a time when the Republicans are desperate for votes, he decides to slander a young female college student for doing what most citizens take pride in doing, testifying on a criticle issue facing the U. S. Congress.
This firestorm also provoked a caring President to call Sandra Fluke and support her testimony on behalf of women across the nation. It’s not a story that is likely going to get buried in the media. Women groups are boycotting Clear Channel advertisers, the syndication that employs Limbaugh, and it’s not unusual for a Mitt Romney to stay silent on the subject since his old cronies at Bain Capital own a chunk of the syndication. Rick Santorum called Rush’s remarks “absurd” not despicable which would be more appropriate. But it indicates the far right is standing behind pill popper Rush and the majority of morons who make up his listening audience. Is there a slander lawsuit against this dispicable person waiting in the wings? I was just wondering. |
