Casino shark Sheldon Adelson says he wants to break the
unions by breaking the Democratic Party.
His only plan is to open the flood gates of his enormous financial
empire and drop $100 million on the Romney campaign but the underlying theme
with all this money floating around, estimated to reach $1 Billion by the end
of summer, is that no Federal Agency has control of Super PAC advertising. They can alter facts, lie about candidates,
and in some 501 (c) PACs not disclose who the donors are. There is no “fact check” on what these
advertisers put together to mislead unthinking American voters.
Adelson is the son of Jewish immigrants and was born in
liberal Boston in 1933. He was a
Democrat until he acquired great wealth and switched to the Republican Party
for reasons that involved paying lower taxes.
Yet a hundred million dollars could make a dent on the national
debt. It could feed a ton of poor kids,
help find a cure for cancer, issues that America can’t afford in this slow
recovery from the worst depression caused by the Bush Republican
Administration. It’s foolish to think a
businessman, like Adelson, would pour that much money into TV ads when the country
could use the money elsewhere, to create jobs, for example. No.
This smacks of billionaires supporting a race war. A contest between a black and white man and the
black guy has more than his foot in the door.
The Supreme Court ruling of Citizens United may have created
the Super PACs but they probably did not foresee that these rich guys will spend
unlimited funds to support or help purchase the Oval Office. They didn’t
consider that there is no check, no regulations, on the blatant lies created by these PACs
against an opponent.
But there is more than meets the eye for this much money to
go out based on getting jobs for the jobless or stabilizing the economy. Do you realize how many jobs you could create
with $100 million dollars? How about $1
Billion? Super Pacs are making liars out
of the rich and the rich frankly don’t care.
If the racist side of the Republican Party want the black
guy removed from office and install a white guy with a pen, then the motivation
is purely racial animosity and worth it to whites to spend Billions to get the
job done. Otherwise the focus for these
Billionaires would be to put America back to work. They have chosen to support the campaign
against black Barack Obama.
Everyone knows that three Republican Administrations have
averted a recession by having the Congress fund public sector jobs. Not the obstructionists in this
Congress. Of course they know fixing the
dire infrastructure of our roads and bridges is at a crisis level but it’s
success would also make the president look good. So they forsake their constituents to stay on
the side of the white race war to remove the black man from power at any cost. Every Republican sector, monied lobbies, the
majority in Congress, Fox News, and wealthy Super PACs all want the same thing
whether their candidate is qualified for the office or not . . . get rid of the
black guy.
As for Adelson, he made a whopping $21 Billion in pure profits since Obama has been in office. A sum that normally would ingratiate a person to someone who helped make him wealthier than he was. Even Wall Street has done exceptionally better than the 8 years of George Bush. I imagine it's a kick in the teeth for Obama to see all his loot go to a competitor. Shark that he is, few people who know him are surprised.

I was just wondering if the Super PACs will go so far as to pitch the white race in key swing states closer to the elections in November. Polls have shown that a majority of white males nationwide have a hidden “animus” toward people of color. Will this finally be the real issue that dominates the 2012 race for the White House?
