ISAAC PUTS DAMPER ON GOP

Even Rand Paul Couldn't Make a Decent
Pitch for the Old Home Team

I was surprised the Rand Paul Caucus didn’t make a run for the money in this rather dull opening to a major political convention.  My guess since it was all talk and no thrilling cheers from the so called  Patriots, it too was overshadowed by a threatening storm “Isaac”.

I woke to read:

An approaching tropical storm, forecast to become a hurricane as it roars into the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, has forced postponement of the first day of the Republican National Convention here, party officials announced Saturday evening.

The opening session Monday was to have featured Mitt Romney's formal nomination by thousands of convention delegates as the party's 2012 presidential standard bearer. A planned speech that evening by Romney's wife, Ann, had previously been moved to Tuesday because the TV networks were not carrying events from the first night.

The Hurricane is headed west so may this will open up a window for Tea Party People to show off a little of their steam.
