China is going to invest 2 Trillion Yuan (read entire story) to promote a green, low carbon economy over the next 5 years. Two Trillion Yuan is about $313 Billion. LG (South Korea's second largest business conglomerate), will invest 8 trillion ($6.83 billion) in "Green New Business" sectors such as electric vehicle parts, LED lighting and sewage treatment industries by 2015. LG is aiming to generate 10 trillion in revenues and create 10,000 new jobs through these investments.
While China and Korea make a green footprint, the US makes a “save the world” footprint of fighting wars in foreign countries, restoring foreign countries from “acts of nature” destruction, building foreign economies by importing more goods than are exported, and at home plays partisan politics as our own recession tidal wave ravishes our economy.
One would think that the US would want to take care of its own first, wouldn’t one?

1% of the U.S. does take care of its own. The top of the wealth heap. And do a very good job of it.
In the Bush era say when did America take care of its' own? So NO . . . One would NOT think the U.S. has any interest, whatsoever, of taking care of its' own.
