This is Infinity.
A closed loop of an undetermined length. It is both alpha and omega: beginning and ending.
If we can picture our universe flat piece of pliable plastic paper and begin to pull that piece of plastic paper outward on all sides equally, the plastic would appear to become thin as it was stretched, but would remain intact.
Our universe is stretching outward like this example, continuing to expand. But, what is it expanding into? That is a question for minds greater than mine.
So, let's suppose that our universe expands so much that the end of time connects with the beginning of time and we have a closed loop, like the image above.
Each second or milli-second is a slice of time like a slice of bread.
With each slice touching the slice in front of it and behind it so the continuity of time going forward is maintained.
Now, we have the loaf of bread that represents our universe and gives us our 3-dimensional qualities.
What we have to remember is that this loaf of bread, our universe is so large that we cannot see its outer edges, nor can we say for sure that it is shaped like a loaf of bread which is really only used for this demonstration.
For the curious, watch the 2 minutes video clip below.

While science can't explain why the human brain created the mind it has harnessed neurons to the point where if someone sees something the brain reacts to as a possible threat, neurons will flood the body with the "fight or flight" adrenalin, pure chemical reaction which also causes the blood pressure to rise. The person may or may not feel they are running hot, but the brain is operating on micro fears.
That bread made me hungry :-) I'm a simple person, all that science stuff is way beyond my realm of comprehension
