Americans Admire Succes


 Land of Opportunity

The United States of America has always opened up its arms and welcomed immigrants from all over the world; in fact, it is precisely that cultural diversity that has made America not just “GREAT,” but on top of the pyramid relative to the rest of the world.



The United States of America has always had its own roots mired in the soil of the wealthy and the poor, the Aristocracy of Europe as well as the criminal.



The United States of America has always admired those individuals who had the emotional fortitude to pull themselves out of the mire of poverty and with perseverance achieved success.







The United States of America has always put their monies where their mouth is and supported movies, theater presentations, and TV shows that pay tribute to the “Rich and Famous,” but has very seldom paid tribute to the “poor and destitute,” unless it revolved around a “rags to riches” story.

If we were to revisit our high school history classes, we would remember that, for the most part, the Aristocracy made their homes in the north and the poor and/or criminal made their homes in the south which has, for all intents and purposes, created the animosity that still exists today (in an unwritten style) between those 2 regional areas of this country.                     


Yet, whether you “grew up” in the north or in the south, achieving wealth out of poverty, is a story that is still “near and dear” to all of us and remains an “adventure or journey” that we all admire and cherish.  And, is this admiration as well as opportunity that continues to attract immigrants from all over the world to the United States of America.



However, as we continue to launch and support and applaud people’s transformation into a more substantial tax bracket, a by-product of that growth is those who were once there are now propelled into an even high tax bracket.  As this by-product continues to evolve, we have another interesting by-product developing and that is the fact these member of the wealthy (whether new or old) are failing to look over their shoulders to those that were left behind.

In other words, the 1% no longer cares about the rest of us!  But, let’s be fair.  It is not just the 1% that have been assimilated into this attitude but the top 20% so they have plenty of friends with which to commensurate while the rest of us gentle weeps, as referenced in the lyrics of The Beatles, pertaining to their guitars.  But, the metaphor holds true.

However, there are some of the guilty rich (I use the word guilty because their wealth came from the people that they now suppress and oppress) who feel their time has come to pay more; yet, Congress (both DEMOCRATS and REPUBLICANS) recently blocked a bill to increase taxes on the rich.

I do not particularly know how you feel, but I am PISSED and ANGRY and quite honestly have had enough of those people who think, “their shit don’t stink.”

Heed these words (below) my friend because they come from our own Declaration of Independence:



We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

One truth that is self-evident to me, that should be to you, and will soon be to our wealthy leaders:
