In a recent Newsweek Article that was
published online at MSN News and spotted by yours truly...
The Gallup poll found that women were the second-most widely supported non-traditional demographic among U.S. adults, with 92 percent saying they would be happy to vote for a female candidate in the 2016 presidential election.
Hillary Clinton is currently the leading Democratic candidate ahead of next year's party conventions, when parties select their presidential candidates, and holds a 34 percentage point lead over her nearest rival, Bernie Sanders.
At present, the only other female presidential candidate is Carly Fiorina, a former chief executive of Hewlett Packard, who is currently 12th in the long list of Republican candidates with around 2 percent of support.
Catholics were found to be the most-widely supported demographic, with 93 percent support among US adults. John F Kennedy remains the only US president to have been a Roman Catholic.
The poll was commissioned to assess how much support different non-traditional demographics - such as women, gay or lesbian candidates, and atheists - would garner from voters of varying religious affiliations.
Of course, one could generously argue
that the poll was flawed from the getgo because of why it was
commissioned and therefore has no bearing or merit regarding our 2016
elections and the fact that we (Americans) may potential elect our
first female President because we are in the right mood or
frame-of-mind to do so.
This simply sounds like fodder for the
talking heads whether they be radio heads or TV heads; but,
unfortunately, I suspect that we will analyzing this concept long
after the next President is elected... why? Because, that is what
we seem to do these days and it seems that our voyeuristic public
demands it.
At one point-in-time, it was relatively
easy to tell Democrats from Republicans just like it was easy to tell
males from females, simply by lifting up their skirts... but, these
days that is no longer the case. For instance, Democrats wanted to
help the working class and were for a big government and were liberal
in their thinking, and Republicans were just the opposite... and,
life was good. But, nowadays, we have liberal republicans and
conservative democrats in addition to our regular cast of characters
but there is new group emerging on the horizon who simply just wants
rich and poor with no government at all until it is in the best
interest of the rich to have one.
And, when I sit down and reflect upon
it... my first thoughts are.... what possible frigging difference
could it mean to me? I have a good 20 years left and while that
seems like a lot, it really moves by quickly... but, only 50% or
maybe 75% of those years will I be able to enjoy them due to old age
health considerations.
And, from my standpoint, no President
and no Congress (House and/or Senate) is going to do anything to
change the status quo for its CURRENT senior citizens... and, if
and when they did do something like that, then we might as well kiss
our asses goodbye anyway because some other country has taken us over
with their military and life is all but over anyway.
So, I will always have what I presently
have and nothing will change for me no matter who becomes our
President... male, female, democrat, or republican... it simply
and basically will all remain the same for me... and, for those
like me.
And, if I really cared about making a
difference... who would listen to me... and, who would join me in
doing anything about changing it? NO ONE...
So, here is an undeniable FACT...
Republican males and Democratic males
have, in the present and in the past, been our President and most all
of these males have seemed to make the situation worse instead of
better... and, before you say anything, I am taking Congress into
consideration as well because they have oftentimes been a road block
as well and they too are comprised mainly of Democrats males and
Republican males. In short, our males have messed things up for
us...
Why not give FEMALES a chance?
And, to say that because they are
females they could not possibly do things any better is a frigging
stupid philosophy and attitude to have... because it shows your
ignorance and highlights the fact that you have a “closed mind,”
not to mention the fact that there are plenty of female leaders who
have done remarkably well and accomplished a shitload of stuff more
than their male counterparts who, for the most part behave in such a
way that they should be pulling condoms over their metaphorically
shaved heads.
However, is Hillary Clinton, the right
female for this job? Now, I have no doubts that she has the “balls”
to handle the job of President, but that does not mean that she is
the right female for this job. Hillary's husband Billy was no doubt
good with the English language and he did manage to balance the
Federal Budget, but how much influence will he exert over her and
over the politics of our country... from the standpoint that the
Clinton family has a one hell of a powerful political machine.
With that said, females are not in much
of a powerful position in the Middle East or within Middle Eastern
countries, so it is doubtful if she will have any influence at all
over ISIS... unless she finds a way to publicly CASTRATE their
leaders and bar-b-que their private parts, serving them on gold
plates at a nomadic victory meal celebration at an oasis in the
desert... since killing only makes them martyrs... and, the
ideology lives on.
I believe that after what Billy did to
Hillary, that she has the mental strength of conviction to be able to
do exactly that and if I am correct, would want to be one of the Pit
Masters.
