DO AMERICANS WANT A THIRD PARTY?

THE JUSTICE PARTY???
by Victor M Adamus

I watched the Rachael Maddow show last night and was surprised to find that Utah Governor Rocky Anderson has announced a new third party he formed called "The Justice Party".  He will run on that ticket for President.

I think we need a third party that is not controlled by the big boys, corporations that tell Congress what to do for them and not the majority of Americans.  It should be the reverse.  But I also think a platform for limiting government frills should be first on their list.  We the people have created a welfare Congress that is owned by Wall Street and regardless of party, including the Tea Party, once they get there they vote corporate policy only and to hell with WE THE PEOPLE.  Their benefits are enormous compared to the middle income folks.

I also do not like the name "the Justice Party" 1) because even the governor misspoke and called it the Justice Department on Maddow's live interview, and 2) Egypts party which just overthrew the government is named the Justice Party and an association with Islam will not sell here in this country.

A third party needs a PR group to guide them but not one paid for by GE.  I'm sure they can come up with a better name.

They have not put up a website yet but this blog will post their platform when they do.  To watch the interview with Anderson, please click on Rachael Maddow above and at least get the jist of what this new third party is trying to achieve.

Vic,
We actually already have 6 parties in America.
Constitution Party formed in 1992
Democratic Party formed in 1792
Republican Party formed 1854
Green Party formed in 1996
Reform Party formed in 1992
Libertarian Party formed in 1971

I was working on a story and have this research - I also know the membership levels in each of these parties as well......

Whether or not we form a 7th political party in this country or not is not the real issue here to me. What is important is how to get any of these parties that we currently have to be truly responsive to the American public as opposed to lobbyist or those who make large financial contributions to these individuals.

I, for one, will never believe that a millionaire will ever understand my needs or the needs of my family with a combined family income of less than $60,000 a year. Just as I cannot understand the mentality of those who are homeless or who live in drug invested communities.

These clean shaven politicians in their $1500 Oxxford Clothes suits, will NEVER really understand how you and I are living and what our real concerns are as we live from paycheck to paycheck....

Nor will they understand what it is like to go fight a war in another country where the enemy fights like terrorists while they sit calmly on Capital Hill without blinking and vote without questioning what a President says.

My suggestion is that they all should go see the movie Forrest Gump and pay attention to the following line:

Stupid is as stupid does.....

There are more than what you posted in both your posts. A credible third party has been announced by a Governor and got air time on the Maddow show. It's moving across political lines with the platform he described last night. The others are "clubs" or think tanks with no one like a Colin Powell or person with charisma that would appeal to the general public. The Governor of Utah is almost a no name. But should they become a movement to capture the OWS crowd then they should change their name early because it already is confusing.

3rd, 4th, or 5th parties will not mean shit and it will be politics as usual unless we clean up the way politics is played in this country.

A third party is not going to guaranteed that this person will not be influenced by a large contributor or a lobbyist or even by their own third party who believes a certain direction should be taken for the party and not for the country....

Will a third party guarantee an improvement on our educational system.

Will it guarantee that students will start taking math, science, engineering and technology course where there are plenty of jobs - actually just reported on the news today.

Will it guarantee that all wars will stop.

Will it guarantee that it can win the war on terrorism or drug or if they really want to because to do would put several people out of work.

Will it guarantee consumer confidence will return causing money to be spent and companies to start hiring.

Will it guarantee and end to racism in this country.

Will it guarantee globalization will increase so that Americans can buy products cheaply.

Will it force Americans to work without benefits so that American companies can be competitive....

And, the list goes on and on and on....

Our system of politics is broken and the little man, the uneducated, the one who does not make much money will always be manipulated by the politics of the wealthy telling these people that the wealthy know what is best for you.......

THAT is, unless your party is going to be pushing the election of the uneducated and the poor into office... even writing this down seems silly..... because we know it is never going to happen...

Even when we had large labor unions in this country like the AFL/CIO, the poeple at the top became rich and greedy and stopped helping those who elected them to power...

Everyone lies and cheats and steals.

Everyone tries to con the other people on every deal.

If we really had trust in each other, we would not need a 2nd amendment.

Everybody is oily and some are oilier than others but if we dig deep enough we will find shit on everyone at all levels and in all positions.

Change human nature first.

There's always been a segment of society that screams "bah humbug" when any new idea comes along but they are the negative people who bitch a lot but don't get involved in really changing a system by promoting people into the fold who have the solutions. The Tea Party is an example of total failure. Now we need dedicated, educated, loyal to the people, not party, representatives. People who are not governed by the Robber Barons.
