What Sensenbrenner Said IS Racist

By Victor M Adamus

“I regret my inappropriate comment and I have sent a personal note to the first lady apologizing.”
Jim Sensenbrenner, (R-Wisc).

According to Marsh-Meigs, 72 year old church goer,  “He implied that Michelle Obama being interested in childhood obesity was not serious, he sort of made fun of it and then he made fun of her. He said something like, look at her big butt.”

I think it is safe for me to say that the Republican Party is racist to the core.  This is not the first example of race baiting being said by a Republican about the President or the First Lady.  Racism, in fact, will play a deciding roll with swing voters in the next election.  We’ve come a lot further along as a nation than what  Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc) reflects in his crude and rude comment about Michele Obama.  Democrats will make this one stick.  But unfortunately, the Rush Limbaughs of the Repukes, will be flying the race card jokes throughout the general election.  You can bet on it.

They will because a black man has done more in three years than his white predecessor did in eight.  Facts that anyone can look up concerning President Obama’s impact on almost every area of American life has improved with the exception of the National Debt and he was handed that when he took office.

Personally, I don’t think black jokes are funny.  Those who do will not succeed regardless of who runs on the Republican ticket in the general election.  People who vote will see, have seen, how mean and full of hate the Republicans in Congress are and how they’ve held hostage the very people that voted them into office.  Remember the debt ceiling fiasco?

Can anyone tell me if a Democrat ever made a joke about Barbara Bush’s body parts while she served as First Lady for eight years?

The Republican Party is in serious melt down.  They mirror the worst this country has to offer.  As my Mother would say “sewer brains” to people who were ill mannered or used foul words to describe a person.  It’s the kind of talk kids use in grade school to put down a fellow student; bullies who prey upon the weaker children; mean, unkind words and gestures that cry out for an adult to discipline the unruly.

That is where the Republicans are today.  I see it in every candidate running for the GOP ticket.  So why am I so offended that a Congressman would say publicly what would normally be heard in a bathroom?

Well, is this the leadership Americans want?  Is it the leadership we deserve?

Shame on you Mr Sensenbrenner.  I hope the White House doesn’t bother to respond to your apology.  I hope the voters in Wisconsin vote you out of office come next November.

Bravo and thank you. It seems the problem with the Republican Party members, if it is even possible to generalize about any group, is that they have always been arrogant, thinking they are better than anyone else. The problem seems to start there. I am sure there are a few good Republicans out there, but doubt they can salvage the damage done to their party. It has been hijacked by right wing extremists, and for this group I can safely generalize that there is no love in their hearts (except for themselves) and they feed on hatred and fear.
