From what Akin "understands," women's bodies have a magical way of distinguishing consensual sperm from rape sperm, and they can just "shut that whole thing down." Akin gets his way, forced to carry their rapists' babies to term because "there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist and not attacking the child." Because that's what a rape is all about—the rapist and his baby. The woman? Eh. She's got her magic ladyparts to protect her.
